Local conditions
Nebraska's state building code is the 2018 IBC, IRC, IEBC and Uniform Plumbing Code, adopted at Nebraska Revised Statute 71-6403. Under Statute 71-6406 the state code applies by default where a local jurisdiction has not adopted its own conforming code.
The IRC requires your garage door to carry a permanent label showing positive and negative design wind pressure ratings, tested to ASTM E330 or ANSI/DASMA 108. The required pressure is set by the wind speed map and by the local building official.
