Gretna falls under Sarpy County's adopted criteria: 115 mph three second gust Exposure C, 30 psf ground snow load, and a negative 5 degree winter design temperature. New construction on open ground west of town genuinely is Exposure C, so the wind rating is not academic here.
Permits and code
Sarpy County adopted the 2018 IRC by resolution in June 2024, and Gretna administers its own permitting. A straight door swap in an existing opening is generally exempt. Verify with the City of Gretna before any work that touches the header.
