Why our springs are American and our doors are not
In January 2026 the United States imposed antidumping and countervailing duties on Chinese garage door torsion springs. The countervailing rate alone is 257 percent. So we import doors, panels, track and hardware, and we buy every spring domestically. It is a small part of the cost and it keeps the price on this page honest.

Not included: structural work to the header or opening, electrical work for a new opener circuit, and non-standard openings. If your opening is not standard we will tell you the number before we start, not after.

Do I need a permit to replace a garage door in Omaha?
A like-for-like swap in an existing opening with no structural change is generally exempt. Any change to the header or the size of the opening needs a permit. Confirm with Omaha Permits and Inspections at 402-444-5350, because working without a required permit quadruples the fee.
What wind rating does a garage door need in Nebraska?

Every door we sell is tested to ANSI/DASMA 108 and carries a permanent label showing its positive and negative design pressure rating, the test standard and the installation drawing reference. Ask any other supplier to show you that label.
Is R-13 enough insulation for a Nebraska winter?
For an attached garage, yes, and it is well above the R-6 to R-9 that most builder-grade doors carry. Omaha's winter design temperature is negative 5 degrees. If your garage is heated or has a room above it, take the R-18 upgrade for $260.
